This hotel is located in a beautiful restored historic area. The castle district is perfect for leisurely strolls in a pedestrian area. The hotel has breathtaking views over the river and parliament building. The staff is very friendly from front desk to bellmen to restaurant staff. The moment you step into the hotel you feel warm and welcoming hospitality. If... More

The best part of the hotel is its location as it is located in an historic area. The view from the rooms are facing the rive and parliament across the rive. The checkin was swift but the downside of the hotel is that the rooms are looking old and tired. There is no free wifi in the rooms not even... More

Our overall stay was wonderful, from the moment we walked in the door to finally checking out. The bed was massive and very comfortable. We were offered a special rate of 20Euro per night for Breakfast, but declined due to only both prefering a very light breakfast. We did however celebrate our wedding anniversary with a meal in the Icon... More

We were warmly welcomed by a terrific staff. We stayed on the executive floor with a beautiful view of the Danube and the impressive Parliament bldg. The complimentary breakfast in the Icon restaurant was excellent. (Be sure to request a table by the windows the night before. Worth a modest tip to the staff) We were very close to inexpensive... Our room was a generous size (like American size rooms) rather than like smaller hotel rooms we have stayed in Europe. Staff was friendly and helpful, great location, would recommend to friends, nice view of Pest side

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
