This place was so chilled out. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Their dog was also adorable! The rooms were clean, everything you would expect from a hostel. The bathrooms were down a corridor so if you want a shower, best to take some clothes to change into with you if you don’t want to be waltzing around the... More

Overall nice hostel even if I didn't had hot water for 3 night it's nice enough and in a very lively area of Budapest. Be ready for some noise at night as a lot of bar and clubs open late are around. Would go again.

I'm divided about my stay here. PROS: The location and the price are quite good, for what they offer. Some staff were amazing and quite helpful (mostly the younger ones). CONS: Bad experience with other members of the stafft. The owner, for instance, took a bed away from us 4 times in a week (mostly due to bad management), we... More

This place has a self service laundry and has 2 washers and 2 dryers. Cost is reasonable. Issue- finding self service laundries anywhere when traveling is very challenging. This hostel provides a service that is good. More machines would be better too

The bazar Hostel is a little place in the Jewish Quarter right in the heart of the old part of town. The area can be a bit noisy outside, but once inside the doors of the hostel, very little can be heard. Close to metro and us stations, and the local night life and shopping. We had a private twin... I think we were a bit troublesome guests (5 am check in), locking bikes on the stair way. & Singing in the kitchen. We were made feel so welcome & everybody was chatting with us & interested in what we would do in the city & how it was then after. The room was clean, fresh & very comfortable… best... More

The hostel was clean: clean sheets, clean bathrooms. The staff was extremely kind and helpful! Would highly recommend! Also great with helping you find things to do around Budapest. Great location in the Jewish Quarter, so lots of restaurants and nightlife!

For the price tag Bazar Hostel is pretty good. The location was great, the rooms were warm, quiet, large and included lockers, the common room had a really great vibe, the kitchen was well equipped and the staff were friendly which were all positives but there were negatives as well. Cleanliness was an issue with bathrooms always appearing a bit... More

Bazar hostel is located in the heart of Budapest, on the Pest side, and is close to clubs and bars as well as near the sights. Even though it is close to a big street, you cannot hear any traffic and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is super nice; fully stocked kitchen along with cozy chill-out area is... More

The place itself, the idea, stuff and common room is exceptional! But... the rooms and bathrooms were quite dirty, our Spanish roommates not taking shower every day didn't really help with keeping the place nice. Fine, if you're not afraid of some spiders :-)

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
