My partner and I recently stayed at one of the Elvis Guesthouse studios on zichy jeno st and loved it! The studio was basic but great value for money and had everything we needed including towels and bedding. There is a 24 shop just round the corner and the studios are within easy walking distance to inner city. The nearest...

We stayed a night in the guesthouse and then moved to the apartment due to self catering being more suitable for us. Both accomodation was well located, clean and welcoming. The staff are so helpful, they couldnt do enough to make our stay more enjoyable. A perfect base to explore Budapest, we'll be back! thank you

We were there in three of the five rooms of the house while the other two were empty, we did the late check in with one of the guys that works there, and we left to eat something, locking all the doors when we left. When we came back my camera wasn't there anymore, it was supposed to be at...

The hostel is close to the train station and 2 blocks from the metro and hop hop off stop (very important in Budapest). The rooms are clean, the european breakfast very good, and the staff go out of their way to help you. It was nice to have coffee, tea, and microwave 24/7. An Aldi is on the corner for...

I originally booked this hostel because of its location however I realized later that the apartments were at a different location from the hostel and by then it was too late to make alternate arrangements. Anyway it worked out for the best because I LOVED the loft style apartment. It was actually pretty close to Nyugati station in a quiet...

The studio was excellently located, near the most important street of Pest (contemporary centre of Budapest), with 2 metro stations and tram stops nearby. The closest neighbourhood was packed with pubs, restaurants, shops, everything what's needed. The conditions for such a small price were excellent: tv, fridge, fully equiped kitchen (corkscrew included!), hairdrier, etc. The stuff was nice and helpful...

I would have given this guesthouse a much (MUCH) better rating (and review) had we not gone to the hostel location- gotten locked inside the courtyard of the building. After about twenty minutes of knocking on the hostel door within the building, we gave up and knocked on random doors to try to use a phone to call the guesthouse....

I was not impressed that our room had been double booked and when the manager showed us to the alternative further along the street, I was concerned. However, instead of a double room we had an entire apartment to ourselves so a private bathroom and kitchen too at no extra cost. We simply went along to the guesthouse in the...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
