The guesthouse is a flat on the frond floor of a ruined building. there is no reception and the front door doesn't close safely. They never clean. There is a terrible smell everywhere. I opened the only window and from my pictures you can understand the level of the accomodation. Nobody is there to help you for "breakfast": discount cereals, uht...

This place was a pleasure to stay in! Room and ensuite were clean on arrival. Close to the metro, tram and bike rental station. An Aldi was also very nearby (ideal for buying cheap packed lunch). The host was very nice and welcoming and recommended a lot of cool places to see. Breakfast was free from 7am till 11am which...

Maybe too pricy for such standard, but the owner is extremely friendly, the location is just great, and we were more than satisfied having a two-floor apartment in a historical building with fully equipped kitchen. I'd love to return!

Planned to stay here a few years back. We arrived at the hostel to be stopped as we entered the front door and told they were full - even though we'd booked months ahead. We were escorted by the owner to a very run down apartment block nearby, and told we could have their "Guest House". The apartment was full...

I and my husband have stayed at quite low cost hotels but nowhere met such situation at breakfast. Breakfast table have space for ten people so as a hotel you can't have only 8 dishes. when we sat 10 people at the same time for brekfast, someone had to eat quickly, give the dish to wash it so to give...

For a good price you got breakfast, two metro stations (M2 and M4 lines) and few grocery stores nearby. We got apartment at Rakoczi 69, old tenement building, low standard, but quite big. If you need a place to only sleep and take a shower it's quite good for the price. Staff was very helpful, we got info about good...

Very good accomodation: in a central location, four minutes walk to the underground, near to many restaurants and pubs. People at the reception were vey nice and helpful. Really good price/quality ratio!

This gueshouse/hotel thing was very bad. We thought we had booked something else, but the pictures aren't correct. The guesthouse was gross and dirty. The wall was broken and they had a painting there instead of fixing it. The service was bad. The breakfast was bad and there wasn't enough space for everyone. The only good thing could have been...

This Guesthouse is so simple! The rooms are so dark and the breakfast is doens't have too many options, but it's good. We had an opportunity to stay in this place twice, but unfortunately it didn't get better. The main entrance is old, dirty and a little bit scary.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
