On a recent midweek break to Budapest we stayed in the K9 residence. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much effort. The had a smile and a laugh for everyone and liked to share a joke. But also they were helpful...More
I stayed at K9 Residence with my wife for 4 nights at the start of November.
The location is excellent and is perfectly placed to explore all areas of the Pest side of the city on foot (main area for restaurants, bars, leisure and business)....More
Great location in the city centre where everything is around. Apartment was nice, well furnished and clean. Personnel was very friendly and kind. There is a little loud from traffic in the night, but if you are tired enough, this is not such a problem....More
Excellent location, and really helpful staff. Our transfer to the airport didnt show up and we were helped immediately by means of calling a cab (and getting mad at the worst transfer company out there :)(budapest expres?)).

Cons: Really uncomfortable beds (a room...More
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly
Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

There's also the new 100E express bus (just started this past summer) that runs direct to/from the airport starting at Deak Ferenc Ter. The stop is half a block away, on the other side of the street, and runs every half hour. It's a public transit bus so it's cheap (900HUF), but you have to buy the ticket from a vending machine at one of the metro or tram stations beforehand, you can't buy them on the bus itself.
