Me and my girlfriend decided to see Budapest, we've searched for a good hotel, cheap in a good location. If you also searching for hotel like this, you should go for it. We had a good time, great service, clean rooms, nice kitchen and in a v.good location - near transportation, subway, bars and restaurants.

Some friends recommended this hotel to us and we took them at their word. We're glad that we did. Laura and Bela behind the front desk were more than helpful. Laura recommended several restaurants which were reasonable and had quality service and good food. They were both gracious and informative. The studio was clean, roomy and comfortable and the location... More

Location of this apartment hotels is A+++. Rooms were clean and nice. This place doesn't have anything special, luxus or glamour, but location was perfect and prices were very reasonable. Studio apartment was good size and it had everything we needed. Traffic noise is quite loud, but I m used to that. Free wifi worked well.

Location: on a busy main road and you can here the traffic (we were on 6th floor ) windows are double glazed and have metal shutters which zone out some of the noise when closed! Positive note the location to sights and transport is perfect. Supermarket next door, Jewish quarter ( bars/ restaurants) 5 min walk, Danube 10 min walk,... More

Upon check-in, the lobby wasn't anything special but the receptionists were extremely friendly and accommodating. When we went up to our room, our jaws dropped at how large our double-bed room was. It was very clean and simple with lime green and slate gray decor. The bathroom was larger than other hotels at a similar price and the kitchenette was... More

Stayed here in April 2014 in a stag do, location was pretty good (about 30mins from the airport). Cost around £20pp/pn. Rooms pretty modern and spacious, free wifi (not the greatest connection). Bar just outside and a few other bars just around the corner. The outdoor meat market is also pretty close which is good for hangovers. Overall good location,... More

We stayed in the K9 during the Easter holiday 2nd-9th April. The K9 is in an ideal position for a visit to Budapest, 3 minute walk to the numerous City Bus tour operators, Trams and the Metro and only 5 minutes from the main centre. The rooms are very spacious, well equipped for self catering if required, and well furnished. The staff... More

The hotel is located right on the border between the lively jewish quarter and the city center, next to the great synagouge and in a short walking distance to Váci Street and the Danube. We paid around £40 a night for a two-bedroomed apartment, which I think is astonishing value for a city centre location in a European capital. K9 is just a few steps from Budapest's main public transport hub, and within easy walking distance of many of the sights. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are big, clean, modern and well... We stayed at the K9 and came home yesterday. The location is fantastic, the staff couldn't be more helpful. The room was lovely - bed was a bit low & hard but for the price it is an amazing value and we would stay there again without doubt. Highly recommended.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
