Price and location are pretty good, but there is a lack of courtesy by the manager/ owner. His attitudes seems to be of someone who is doing you a favor rather than someone who works in the hospitality industry. We rang 3 days prior to our arrival to make sure we could get an early check in ( actually ,...

I cannot wait to write this review. I read other reviews about the noise but I thought I could handle it with a earplug. I was too naive. The rooms are right above the courtyard where the DISCO party lasts until almost 400AM. It is not the noisy you can expect from street cars or people's talk. It's DISCO party!...

We stayed here in last summer. The rooms are really nice but without private bathrooms. For the price, this place is excellent. It is very centrally located. Most places of interest are walking distance from Zrinyi. A lot of reviews complained about the noise... I think that made the hostel a fun place to stay at :) The staff was...

Simple but effective. if yo want a low-cost central crash pad with wifi then this is your place. They have a night club downstairs now which is noisy so if you are booking ask for an outward facing room, rather than one which faces into the courtyard!

Struggled to actually find the hostel but once in everything seemed very clean, cosy and home-like. Reception staff could be more helpful, they seem to just surf the net and chat on the phone lots but can't answer many questions!! The rooms are great, good size, comfy beds and wardrobe space. Shared bathrooms are kept clean with three toilets and...

Amazing location (in the very heart of Budapest), amazing staff (extremely friendly), amazing cleanliness, terrible noise. The noise is not the hostel's fault - it comes from the disco on the grund floor. The owner was very kind to give me a better room , where the noise level was tolerable, so I did manage to get a good night...

The hotel is well placed but the reception is very unwilling, pay attention the bathroom and WC is shared. Every day there is a disco playing till 3 o clock or more. Very difficult to sleep. During the weekend it might be longer the disco. You could fin better place.

Superb location, exactly where any tourist would want to stay. Very friendly receptionist. Large rooms. A lot of mosquitoes and flys, although this was partially our fault as we had the window open and light on for the first few minutes when we arrived! Shared bathrooms, which weren't too bad, and I never had a problem queueing, although the hotel...

Good value. Staff were friendly but not knowledgeable. They didn't even know if Budapest had walking tours. Luckily, the WiFi is free so I Googled it. Unfortunately, there is no noise curfew and the soccer hooligans kept me up all night. Also, there is a nightclub nearby (The Pit) that you can hear through the walls. Location is walking distance...

The Four Seasons across the street charge at least EUR340. Wouldn't you rather be charged one tenth of that for the same location? Yes, it's THAT good! As for everything else, I couldn't fault the guesthouse for anything much. And even if there may be scores of youngsters running up and down the corridor at midnight screaming their hearts out,...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
