The hotel is on a quiet street in the heart of the Jewish Quarter, five minutes away from the Grand Dohany St. Synagogue and other sites. It is also about 15 min away from the Danube. The rooms are on a small side, but nicely decorated and well appointed. In the horrible heat of a Budapest summer, the air conditioning...

Dear EvatheDiva, Many thanks for your lavish review. What I have mostly enjoyed is your compliments on the staff what I very much appreciate. I hope despite the migrants' crisis you have finally succeeded to arrive to Vienna in due time and in safety. I feel sorry for the four points only as I expected the maximum based on your...

Super room, super facilities, staff very well trained, polite and helpful. Food (breakfast, evening meal) was excellent and good value. Cocktail bar was very relaxed and really showed off the impressive original deco architecture. Hotel is ideally placed for exploring Budapest either on foot or using public transport.

Myself and my partner recently stayed at this hotel and had a brilliant time. The hotel had very modern decor, and the staff were very friendly. We paid a little extra for a deluxe room which was great and was a large size for a city. The room had air conditioning which was much needed as the heat during our...

Very nice hotel, excellent service, very friend staff. Breakfast was very good and there was a huge choice for the buffet breakfast. Location is very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Can't say a bad thing about this hotel.

I have to say that after trawling through reviews of hotels and areas in Budapest I was just glad to book somewhere. However I really felt I hit the jackpot with this hotel. I booked through hotels.com and got a deal of £50 a night and for this hotel that is insanely good value. The welcome from the staff on...

Dear RicardoM1234, Thanks a lot for your "superb" review. I cannot better summarize it than plagiarize your "jackpot" phrase. Since we are in the "Soho" in the most bohemian district of Budapest it is obvious that there are plenty of options to eat and drink including bargain ones too. Many thnaks for your high points and kindest regards,

This is really a fabulous place to stay in Budapest. The staff could not have been more friendly. Rooms were clean and breakfast was amazing by any standard. And the funkiest little pool area on the roof of the hotel makes the complete package. Perfect central location. Shops, restaurants, bars and transport links all within easy walking distance.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. The room was clean and spacious, the bed comfortable. The bathroom set up was open which was a bit odd but fine. The wifi was great and free. The breakfast was above average with many options. I had dinner at the restaurant and it was perfect. And it has an outdoor (and indoor)...

The location of the hotel is convenient both for arriving with your own car and for exploring Budapest on foot. The whole building is rebuilt as a hotel quite recently and the rooms are cozy with modern amenities. The hotel has a nice looking restaurant, but in terms of food quality, there are plenty of better ones around the area....

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
