This hotel is in a beautiful building in a central location and by booking with amomo.com we got it at a good very price But the beautiful entrance with door man and the lobby area are its main attraction. The rooms are decent, but not 4 star superior. The bedside table (room 219) wobbled and the bedside spotlight flickered. The...

Dear Edisred, As I can read in your review you have booked your room at a very good price without breakfast and wellness usage. Some of the on-line travel agents are offering our rooms like this to get more and more clients and they forgot to inform them about the conditions. I’m very sorry for that. On the other side...

I booked this hotel for a weekend mini break for my husbands birthday. Its a beautiful hotel and very well located. there are lots of bars and restaurants around and its a short walk to the river. Also close to the metro and tram stops. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I emailed the hotel before our visit to...

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff went over and above to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We were celebrating my boyfriends 30th and the staff had put banners up in our room and left a bottle of fizz for us to celebrate. Couldn't have asked for more. Would certainly recommend this hotel to others and if...

Stayed at the Continental Zara for 5 nights in Jan 2015. The Hotel is ideally placed for sightseeing being situated in the Pest town centre, close to the metro, 10 minute walk from the East train station. Located in the jewish quarter and close to bars/clubs/restaurants. All the staff were great and the room was excellent too. Free Wifi.

Good location, very well priced and from the outset a good booking. Good facilities however its "door" policy leaves a lot to be desired, this hotel should not be allowing large groups of males on "stag" parties to be staying! It is good enough to be more discerning in who it allows to stay and would profit from this. Overall...

The hotel was of a very high standard. The rooms were excellent and well maintained. The location of the hotel is nice and quiet yet still close to amenities in particular the metro. The price of the mini bar in the room was very expensive. The wellness centre is top class and the safe provided in the room was brilliant...

We booked our trip through secret escapes, and the hotel did not disappoint. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself is in a perfect position for discovering the city itself. It's interior is so beautiful and that extends into the rooms themselves, you really couldn't ask for more. Food is lovely, and we definitely recommend visiting...

We booked this hotel through Trivago for a midweek break so got a fantastic deal on the price-I recommend you shop around because the hotel advertised price was far more expensive. All staff friendly and helpful with concierge service being so useful for ideas or making reservations. Room was clean and a good size-well decorated with nice bathroom too. The...

So much tho see and do in Budapest. Definitely recommend the big bus company hop on hop off bus, great way to get around and get your bearings. Gellerty thermal baths are an absolute must. Also for something different an escape game is really good fun. The hotel was very nice and clean, but small rooms and thin mattresses and...

Dear Pisces0386, Thank you for your comments, both the positive and the negative ones. You are right, our standard rooms are not huge, but well equiped. I wish to inform you, for a slightly surcharge you can upgrade your booking for a much bigger deluxe room. I recommend you to do this if you have a chance to return and...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
