This hotel is awesome. The staff is extremely friendly and do whatever they can to help you. Rooms are clean and nice with excellent bathrooms. The buffet breakfast is perfect to stuff you up for more than half the day. Located in the Jewish part of town you are close to hundreds of nice resaturants, pubs and clubs and just...

This is a gorgeous hotel, interior is breathtaking. It used to be a theatre and a lot of the original features have been restored. Where do I start? The bedrooms are great with everything you could want, tea/coffee, safe, shower, hairdryer, shaver socket, huge comfy bed, tv, free wifi (super quick) mini bar etc. There is a spa with an...

We stayed at the hotel for a 4 night city break. The reception area is welcoming and quite impressive. We had a standard room which was on the small side but had everything we needed. However, the furniture was black and consequently showed up a lot of dust. It was the breakfast experience which really let this hotel down. There...

The hotel is absolutely amazing. Reception Staff were fantastic and I would like to say a big thank you to the maids who did a fantastic job. The only criticism that I have is that the wellness facility was not included in the price of the room and we only found out about the extra charge on checking out. My...

The Hotel is in the Jewish quarter of the city. The area around it is run down and depressing. Its a good 20-30 minute walk to the river or the main shopping street. We went with 4 friends . We all had the same experience The best thing to do is to take a jump-on and off bus or the...

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel has an Art Deco frontage and upon entering the reception area this also is Art Deco decor - beautiful! Upon receiving a polite and friendly greeting by the uniformed door staff we knew as soon as we stepped in it was going to be a good stay. Check in was fast friendly...

We booked this hotel along with our flight through British Airways. We arrived at the hotel on Thursday evening to a warm welcome and a live pianist. Our room was a standard but it was wonderful. We were particularly impressed with the pillow menu! the whole place oozes luxury and we were well looked after. Breakfast buffet was faultless and...

Travel Agents honest review!! I stayed here on the 15th March 2015 for 4 nights and fell in love with it as soon as we walked through the revolving door. The lobby is large and impressive and reception staff waiting to greet you with a smile. We had booked a standard room and had informed them it was our anniversary...

We enjoyed our three night stay at the Continental Hotel Zara Budapest where the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed in the size of our room and en suite which were on the small side. However, it did not spoil our stay in what was otherwise an excellent hotel.

Excellent venue for a business trip. Close to city centre, river and restaurants. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Sitting in the bar is an experience, you really get a feel of the hotels history. Recently rebuilt and refurb, however retains the Art Deco feel of the time it was a bath.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
