First impressions of this hotel were fantastic. The staff were friendly and the lobby is stunning. We booked a standard double room which looks gorgeous on the website. When we got to the room I was very disappointed with it. The room was tiny, and there was no room to move in the bathroom, it looked nothing like the size...

Clean and recently refurbished. All furniture are in good shape and not cheap quality. Confortable bed, clean and functional bathroom. I was expecting something more from restaurant and breakfast, but still good and in accordance with high level hotel. The main entrance has a wonderful door made of bronze. Wellness area is good, but there is no steam room. Price-value...

Beautiful hotel, in a nice part of the city. A good 10 minute walk from the major metro links, a good 20 mins into the main square where St Stevens is. Great variety of pubs/bars and restaurants selected along the streets. Nice to be a little out of the main square. Lovely staff, friendly, attentive, very helpful on every request....

Our room was not specially big in m2 but the height was impressive as well as the design. The beds were excellent. The breakfast buffet very big, great selection and lots of people (Easter!) - but very good. Maybe what we apreciated most was the the hotel bar: on the first floor it was more liks a bar lobby, very nice and...

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights here and found the hotel and staff to be very comfortable, friendly and helpful. We booked the hotel car to collect and return us to the airport, and the service was prompt and efficient. The room was comfortable and we tried out the indoor and outdoor pools on 2 occasions, which though small...

While I read mostly favorable reviews of this hotel I was a little hesitant still when our cab pulled up and thought perhaps we should have stayed in a more "touristy" area. But the staff and service from the get go was extremely nice and courteous and our room (I upgraded to a little bigger one having read here that...

Everything is good except the beds they are too hard and uncomfortable also the pillows are too hard. The staff, breakfast are good rooms are a good size and clean. When you come in you walk true a copper hall what is quite impressive. Also this Experience in Budapest is ok.

Very comfortable hotel in the heart of a big city. Outside of the hotel was a rather shabby area but a good location for walking into the city; shops nearby. Room had shower room only but was OK. Underground Metro station a few minutes walk away.

Really enjoyed our 2 nights at the continental. Breakfast was amazing a wide selection of hot food and pastries. All the staff were really polite, helpful and always smiling. Three of us stayed in an executive double. The bathroom was extremely clean had a shower and bathtub. It was a short walk from the tour buses and stations. I would...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
