This hotel occupied the 3rd floor of a large historic looking tenament block. The staff were friendly and helpful and the superior room we had was excellent, with its own jaccuzi bath, 2 TVs (one each!), and a sofa. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The downside, as other reviewers have remarked, is the entrance (shared by the rest...

The Panorama Central hotel was in the center of Budapest with a metro stop around the corner, tram and bus lines in front of the door. Yes as said the entrance isn't pretty, the elevator is a bit shabby (there are stairs!) but the room was very big and clean, the beds were soft and there was a jacuzzi in...

The people were very nice and it was a good location, but the building was so sketch. I would not recommend for a single female traveler.

Just before Christmas we spent an excellent few days in Budapests Panorama Central Hotel. Situated in the pedestrian area Very close to the main attractions. Yes, in fact despite the creepy entrance and a shaky lift, the hotel is very good. It seems it has been recently renewed: the room was comfortable and clean and the staff, on service 24-hour, was very friendly and helpful. Its biggest quality is its position. The hotel is located in the centre of Pest, very close to the Synagogue,...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
