The location of the hotel is just outside of the old town - however, it is perfectly walkable at a comfortable pace in about 10 minutes. As it was a walk away from the old center, as you get closer to the hotel, there is less choice of restaurants or bars. The hotel and room is modern, clean, well maintained,...

I think anyone can be comfortable at this hotel. The price is great. The rooms are spacious and clean. The desk staff is friendly enough. The breakfast bar will set you up for a great day. After breakfast we didn't bother with lunch we were so full. This just gives you more time to sight-see and wander.

Have stayed in better hotels, our room was not properly cleaned. The staff at reception were helpful. Breakfast was alright. I did not like the location we had to get Metros as there was nowhere sutable nearby for a meal. We had already been ripped of by a taxi driver.

Good location and excellent price. It was close to a subway and train station and walking distance to Parliament Buildings and Margit's Island. Staff were very helpful particularly Zoltan. Breakfast was excellent and really enjoyed our 6 day stay.

I liked the modern decor of the room, the helpfulness of the staff and the good quality breakfasts. They gave us free drink drink vouchers which was a nice touch. However, the room was a little dark and the bedspread seemed a little worn. Pillows could have been plumper.

We stayed here for 4 nights and I must say it definitely worth it. Hotel is located in tourist part of Budapest near subway and train station. Room was nice, cozy and clean, however little bit too dark, because of window facing into courtyard. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okey, plenty of choice even at the end of...

The hotel is definitely worth the price. The location is perfect since all the attractions are at a walking distance. The interiors of the hotel is well done and well maintained. The staff is always ready to help and are prompt with their actions. Only negative I felt was that they did not have an ironing board and press. Rest...

The Marmara Hotel was conviently located and very pretty. The breakfast was fabulous as well. The customer service was also great. My husband forgot the iphone belonging to his company in the room and they called our taxi company to let us know so that we were able to return and retrieve it. This was a great experience in a...

The Marmara Hotel Budapest is a very nice Design Hotel near the City-Center of Budapest. The Hotel Staff is very friendly, the rooms with air conditioning and the breakfast is also not bad. Also the Metro isn´t far away.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
