We stayed here two nights during our trip! The staff was very hospitable and our accommodations were clean and very nice. We also really appreciated being able to leave our suitcases for free at the hostel after we checked out. Great value for what you get - highly recommend! It's also conveniently located right next to the subway and bus...

This hostel was fantastic! My sister and I have been backpacking through Europe for the past month and this is by far the most comfortable and best value for money place we have stayed so far. The staff are friendly and help with any annoying questions you ask. They're great with recommendations for food and activities. The hostel is in...

This hostel was situated in the inside of a lovely building. The staff upon arrival were really friendly and effective. We were shown to our room and told that there was free wifi and tea/coffee for us in the kitchen. The private double ensuite room we were shown was impeccable. It was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The...

Maverick apartments/ hostels are in a great location - close to the river, metro, shops and some great local eating/ drinking places. Everything is in walking distance but still quiet at night for sleeping! We stayed in an apartment, great facilities, comfortable bed, nice and warm and exactly what we needed after being out in the cold weather! The staff...

Great small hostel with nice staff in an old-style building just in the city centre. We stayed in a private room and we felt like in a hotel with the addition of getting to know people and having a kitchen to have our breakfasts in. Around the corner you can also find the very good Cafe Madal, check it out!

I stayed in this hostel 3 nights in a private room. The room was spacious and clean and so was its bathroom. Common area was nicely laid out and equipped with computers, TV and books. Kitchen was fully equipped and complementary tea and coffee were always provided. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The hostel organized some social activities but...

Hi, I'm Jhilik and I stayed in the Maverick hostel, Budapest, along with a friend, for one night, in one of their dorms, Mr. Green, if I remember correctly. My stay was absolutely fabulous, inside the stunning building with it's historical high ceilings, huge doors and spiraling staircases. The staff were fantastic, helpful and nice, and I will remember them...

Stayed here for a few days in November. The location was great, with the Danube less than five minutes walk away. All the main attractions, including Fisherman's Bastion, St Stephen's Basilica, Shoes on the Danube, Parliament and the Christmas Market were within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Csilla. I will...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
