Airport transfer didn't arrive, we waited for 40 minutes and had to take a cab instead. Wi-fi didn't work the whole time. Sheets had holes in them. Doorknobs were falling off. On the second day heating broke down. Staff refused to provide another room and we couldn't stay in a freezing apartment, so we decided to leave. Staff was extremely... More

My boyfriend and I just got back from staying here. We had an apartment for 3 nights which was 2 minutes walk from the Danube, 5 minutes walk from Parliament or St Stephen's Basilica. We arrived late but were warmly welcomed and shown to our apartment, which is just a few minutes walk from the hostel itself. The hostel is... More

We decided to choose one of these appartments because of the location, and because they looked acceptable in the pictures. We requested one of them specifically, but they said it is not possible to choose. AT THIS POINT, WE SHOULD HAVE CHANGED OUR MIND. We could only have a confirmation for a double bed. Well, upon arrival, we were given... More

Hostel is in a central location and easy to get to. Kinda looks a it dodge when you come out of the train station though. Fancy restaurants just two streets down. The front door is always locked so push number 11 on the buzzer. The staff were really friendly, but that's about it. The breakfast was very basic. The showers... More

Great position, close to the center of the city. Clean. The breakfast was served in a very tiny room, just few people have the possibility to eat on the table. just one thing: please change the elevator because it was very creepy!

me and my travel mate stayed in the apartment. the location was quite central. either on foot or by metro, you can reach any popular place easily. wi-fi connection was very strong. the stuff were very welcoming and friendly. the breakfast wasn't rich but to be honest that satisfied me. they often check the e.mails and you always receive a... Location, location, location - absolutely perfect. A few minutes walking distance to many of the popular sights and restaurant streets. Buses and metro is also just a brief walk away. Our stay was what you'd expect given the ratings on TripAdvisor. The room was a promised, spacious and (relatively) clean. There was dust in the corners, but given the price... More

This hostel is in a fabulous location, very close to the Metro and easy walking distance to Parliament and St. Stephen's Basilica. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was nice enough. Our only complaint with the room was that the only bathroom on the floor wasn't really adequate for the number of people staying (my friends and... More

Room was spacious, clean and quiet, good value. We rent the double room with the share bedroom but did not expect it to be that large. Staff was nice and friendly and welcoming. The location was great. The Danube could be reach in 15 mins by walk. We also order the drive offered by the hostel. It was cheap and... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
