Spent 4 nights at the Promenade City in February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. this is a Budget hotel with limited facilities but for a great central base on Vaci St, so you cant argue for the price. we chose it compared to a more expensive hotel as we would literally sleep there at night due to sight seeing...

This hotel couldn't be any more in the midst of all the action. If looking for accommodation smack in the middle of it all and good value for money, then this is the hotel for you. Stayed for 2 nights & not long enough as Budapest deserves at least 4 days to see it all. Arrived before the 2pm check...

As we were staying for a week I asked for a high floor as I had read the previous reports. We do spend from 9am till about 5pm out of the room though. We were allocated a room on the first floor facing Vaci Utca, which was extremely cold (bearing in mind this is December) we tried to adjust the...

Could not fault this hotel. Booked through Jet2 and were not disappointed. The location is excellent right in the heart of the city It's a bit like a slightly upmarket premier lodge. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend it

Neat hotel in the midst of the action (Vaci Utca). Rooms facing the street are big, so make sure you ask for those. Rest are smaller. Walking distance to trams, metros, hop on/off bus, currency exchanges, etc. Minus any views, couldn't find any fault with the location. Front desk was helpful. Breakfast had a decent spread. Downside - no shower...

Great location. Rooms are on small side but good enough. The lift is very annoying and loud, it's all you hear at night! The TV unfortunately doesn't have any English channels, but that's not the end of the world. Breakfast is sufficient, was always tidy and fresh. Reception was helpful. Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
