While staying on the Buda side of the city, the night time view across the river of the Parliament house is spectacular. The city had been beautifully planned to get around in. Castles, churches, markets, cafes, we could have spent 2 weeks here. Also a great place to walk straight onto a river cruise boat and save thousands on brochure...

Close to everything! There are two entrances to this hotel. The "back" entrance is across the street from the Synagogue. More restaurants and shops. Excellent air conditioning. Pleasant staff. Clean room. Wasn't impressed with the breakfast cafe, staff gave the impression that we were imposing on them.

First off: Made this booking via Agoda , booking number 108034384. However, nightmare from the start. Unlike their sister location, Budapest City Central, there is no good signage. Reception staff from hell- could hardly understand her, bad attitude and icing on the cake was: :yes, we have your reservation but no, we have no room for you. Please go to...

Great little hostel in central Budapest. Nice, friendly staff, good, clean room - according to hostel standards. It is around 3* hotel level, really nice. When I was there the building was under renovation.

One night stay September 2016. Housed in Soviet era building on one of the city’s main roads. Reception is on the first floor, approached via dingy archway and dark courtyard, convoluted route following brass plate direction signs. Once in the hotel, clean but functional and beyond the offer of helping myself to coffee or a cup of water in the...

Nikolett the receptionist was really helpful and accommodating for things to do in Hungary. The rooms were really clean, the bathroom was modern and there was good wifi! If your a light sleeper you may need earplugs as it is truly very central. Would recommend to my friends!

It was great to arrive in the evening and have our room with great view, a balcony and a white wine. The service was really good. The room was quite basic but cute. It was an excellent price. The entrance of the building looks a little creepy, but inside it's fine.

The good points were the location, security, staff, welcome. It's not easy to find but well worth it when you do. The beds in Room 1 are well past their best. Possibly just the mattress but more likely the whole bed. Very rickety and uncomfortable.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
