The Angel is a boutique hotel set in the sloping cobble streets of the old centre of Ljubljana. The hotel is extremely comfortable, very well kitted out in terms of excellent beds & attractive furnishings. The service, as is almost always the case in Slovenia (though I did experience a must surly young man, called Luka, at the Europa car...

We stayed for 3 nights in February and found it a lovely and comfortable hotel to see Ljubljana. The staff were lovely and the common areas were very nice. Our room was so comfortable with a great big bed, comfortable bedding, robes, slippers and very soft towels. The bathroom was huge with heated floors (that we couldn't figure out how...

We certainly enjoyed our stay at the Lesar hotel. Our room was huge (#3) and the beds were nice and comfortable with lovely soft bedding Breakfast, for such a small hotel, was very good - it would be hard for them to offer much more choice when they have only 12 rooms in total. The new reception area on the...

Dear guest, thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in Lesar hotel Angel. We are trying all the time to keep our service the best as possible. We loved our stay at this intimate boutique 12 room hotel for 3 nights. The location is in a quiet area in the pedestrian only area of the Old Town. Close to all the attractions including the Christmas markets. Plenty of great restaurants close by. The hotel has a feel of an intimate B& B, with charming upscale decor. The...

This is our second stay at Hotel Angel. While preparing our trip to Ljubljana, I noticed that some other hotels are very popular on TA, so I asked my lady if we should change were we stay in Ljubljana this time. She was very determined: „No way! “. And we didn’t regret. Hotel Angel is still on the same perfect...

They were in the middle of an upgrade during our stay and a new Reception is being created on the ground floor which will free up space in the dining/bar area. The room was really dark but did have a excellent view of the interiors of the adjacent mediaeval houses. The bed was pretty good but there was mould in...

It is a 12 room, boutique hotel with a medieval history. A building that existed during the medieval times, it has recently been refurbished to include modern facilities by a couple who have a design background. Done in muted colors of grey and white with accents of silver found in the accessories that dot the hotel entrance, cozy breakfast room...

We spent only one night in a family trip. We found the location very convenient for this hotel, in the city center (where cars are not allowed, but close to an area for car unloading). It is an old building that it has been nicely redecorated in a modern style. The rooms are pleasant and quiet. The bathroom well equipped,...

Unless you're looking for a Marriott-type hotel or have a real problem with stairs, this hotel is absolutely lovely. Great location. The "penthouse" has it own beautiful garden and must be heaven in the warm months. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Let me start by saying that I really loved this hotel. It's a beautiful place. Every staff member is friendly, smiling, and greets you whenever they see you in the hallway or breakfast room or wherever. Breakfast was very good, and in the afternoon there would always be cookies and chocolates and any leftover croissants from breakfast available in the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
LESAR HOTEL ANGEL was built in the centre of Old Ljubljana and resides in a large medieval house, where tradition and a classic look join the modern trends and approaches of topmost hospitality. Good knowledge of the city's history enabled us to shape the living space in a way that allows our esteemed guests not only to experience a pleasant and serene stay, but also feel first hand the charm of the life led by the old townspeople who once inhabited this place. In this way, we wish to join the old and traditional with the contemporary and modern. The hotel prides itself on its 500 m2 private garden that ascends the slope of the Castle Hill directly underneath the castle tower, from where a marvellous view of Ljubljana and its surroundings may be enjoyed. The garden has an exit to the Cat's Path, one of the popular routes towards the Ljubljana Castle. We wish to offer our guests a luxury stay in a calm leisure or working environment, where they can enjoy gourmet cuisine and spend time in perfect privacy in the very centre of Ljubljana, be it in the premises of the hotel or in the pleasant hotel garden.
