Believe all the reviews about the comfortable rooms, the friendly helpful staff, and the great location ! Good breakfasts, which became excellent when we discovered they cook fresh omelettes on request. Would have appreciated a larger communal sitting area, and it is quite hemmed in by taller buildings, so it has limited views, but a nice quiet hotel in the...

A wonderful place to stay. Centrally located, great staff and wonderful breakfasts. We found this hotel in Rick Steves guidebook and was definitely not disappointed. The staff was very helpful and arranged for cabs, etc. I would stay again.

Stayed here in March for 4 nights as a surprise visit for my partners 30th and cannot recommend this hotel enough. I read reviews before we went and booked solely on the reviews and would advise anyone do the same. We were both so pleased with everything about it, the hotel itself, location, rooms, staff etc. I'd emailed the hotel...

I absolutely adored this hotel! It's a tiny place with so much character and the staff were all top notch! The rooms are quite spacious for an old European hotel and so inviting. The bathrooms are large and even have towel warmers. There are only 2 levels and no elevator. The breakfast, that's included, was excellent! One of the best...

This would've been an average hotel if they didn't do it so well. Staff was courteous to the point that I felt like a jerk whenever I walked downstairs and they stood to greet me. All the receptionists spoke English well enough for my liking. Parking is guarded and on the grounds. Room rate was a steal for the quality...

We booked a premium room because, judging on the pictures the standard room seemed small. Our premium room seemed to be a bit larger on the pictures. Once arrived the room seemed to be more than spacious. The hotel is "classic" in style but very well maintained. Everything is nicely decorated. The room was absolutely spotless. Everything was very well...

The location is the first big plus about the hotel. I visited in January and the park across the road was white with snow - five minutes to Wawel and five minutes to the Old Town. There was minimal road noise apart from the occasional clip clop of the horses pulling the sight-seeing coaches. The room was clean and very...

We liked the location of the Maltanski, next to the park, walking distance to the main square and the castle and yet not right in the busy touristy centre. For us it was the perfect location, quiet with a very good restaurant opposite. The room was large, slightly old fashioned but that gave it character. The walls were quite thin...

Hotel was clean. Staff were polite and friendly. Location was 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The Christmas markets had begun. Many cellar bars, cafes and shops down the alleys that were cheaper than the main streets. We did a very informative and interesting walking tour of the city. We visited and enjoyed the salt mines but it's not...
