Comfortable beds, bathtub and hot water. We stayed here our last night of our trip. Breakfast starts at 4am. It is a dorm feel. The front desk people were very nice. It was a place to lay our heads before we left. I would suggest to fly into Reykjavik and fly out of Reykjavik.

I stayed in the hotel for a class trip so I only was there in the evening and morning and for that price there is not much more to expect in my opinion. The hotel is mostly clean, the towels get changed if demanded and trash gets taken out every day. There is wifi available but the signal isn't strong... More

I feel this place has a lot to offer very helpful staff. unfortunately the lady who serves breakfast is not off that quality rude and very unhelpful when i asked for a selection off sausages as grey eggs didnt do it for me! Luckly for me they had a wide selection at Tescos next door 😊😊. will come back again... More

A beautiful hotel that is so misunderstood, have no idea where these poor ratings come from. Yes the rooms are slightly basic and the loud lady did throw up all over the steps outside but apart from that it was amazing! We loved the hotdog breakfast and the collection of shopping trollies outside, a great way to get in and... More

This "hotel" is rather a student's hostel of communist style. There is only one chair in a double room. Hangers are broken both in the room and in the bathroom. There is no lighting in the corridor neither during the nights (only at the weekend). Wall-to-wall carpet is dirty. There is no electricity in the outlets in the hall but... More

Just got back from 3 nights at the start.yes it's old, desperate for a revamp, there's no air con, which is a killer in summer.reviews mention no tv...erm...who needs tv on holiday??.but, for us,we paid 35 pound for b n b and it was worth it.everything was spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water, loads of choice at breakfast (even for me,a vegetarian) staff went out of... There is much stuff You can complain about considering this place. The inside of the building feels like 80s soviet union hotel and the same goes for the furnishments. The place is quite bad for the price of it. The stay here was shameful trip down to communism history of Polish hotels.

I stayed in Hotel ''Start'' 3 days for New Year Vacations. Rooms are furnished very poorly, with some old chairs, beds and tables. There is NO TV, telephone, A/C, even there were no glasses in the bathroom. Free WiFi is only in the lobby. There are only light curtons on the windows (not dark), so Sun will wake you up... More

I don't usually do negative reviews and I am a big believer in you get what you pay for but I stayed at Hotel Start in February 2015 and I found the accommodation disappointing. The food was inedable, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and although it's called a hotel it's more like a YMCA with people living... More

We lived here on a choir trip where we had opted for the cheapest option since most members are students. If you mostly care about a bed and a bathroom this hotel is ok, but it is very low standard and worn. No AC so it was very warm. Free wifi in lobby. Tesco is right next door with a... More
