We stayed here for 3 nights and thought it was a great hotel. I don't know how it compares with others in the city but we were very pleased and it's very well situated for getting into the main square which the central focus point, just a 5 min walk. 20 minute taxi ride from the airport, costs 89 zlotys,...

What a wonderful classy hotel, exactly as seen in the details online. So welcoming, comfortable, superb facilities. Our suite was sumptuous, the breakfasts so plentiful and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff the whole time we were there, Klaudia in the bar was lovely to chat with at the end of our busy days, the...

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. We were put in a suite though didn't pay extra. This was a big bedroom, sitting room, bathroom & hallway. The bed was comfortable and there was extra quilts and pillows provided. Breakfast was delicious, lots of local produce...

Rooms, deco, doors and old and used. Not nice at all. Needs renovating immediatelly. Bed cover seems 40 years old and is damaged. TV from early 90s. Do not recommend. Better look for something nice or airbnb. Good location though, in the old town but not noisy.

Spent four fabulous nights in hotel Francuski.Clean comfortable rooms. Though décor and furnishings a little old fashioned, it added to the charm. Friendly, helpful staff. In fact we loved it so much going back in November

Hotel is 100 yrs old, so full of character and charm,it is by no means decorated in the modern themes of today, but takes you back to the war years of yesteryear and how people live in small apartments in poland. The staff were delightful and breakfast was great.A truly great experience.

Never been to Poland before so we booked this hotel because it looked old fashioned and its location which was away from the centre. Our room was basic but clean with a comfy bed and in a quiet area.We wanted our holiday to be as Polish as we could. The breakfast is as far away as English as you can get but...

Beautiful hotel with an amazing staff! Great location and delicious, free breakfast. The beds are not the newest, but they have super deep bathtubs to soak in after a long day of walking around Old Town.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
French hotel is located in historic centre of Krakow, opposite The Princes Czartoryski Museum, few meters from the old city walls and the Barbakan. Within easy reach there are many galleries, jewelry stores and during tourist season - also a bazaar with works of art, presented by the old defensive wall. Whole French Hotel is filled with old elegance what is already evident upon entering the lobby and impressive staircase with columns. It is the oldest building in Krakow erected immediately as a hotel - was opened in 1912. Interior is influenced by the popular at that time an art deco style. The rooms and suites are decorated with wallpapers, pictures, and graphics showing former Krakow, as well as solid, stylized furniture. The bathrooms are comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. Some suites may be combined, by which the hotel is recognised among traveling families. Listening to a clock beating in the lobby or sipping tea in a cafe, you can travel in imagination hundred years to the past. The building is famous for almost a hundred years of its restaurant serving delicious Polish cuisine. ... more   less
