Two night stop in Gdansk so needed a hotel close to the town. Dom Sonata only 4 tram stops away. Started well, initial appearance very good. However although the Room was large and full of furniture it had single beds only. General appearance in side is very poor, dark corridors and unused, unwanted furniture and bath fittings litter every corner...

Stayed here for four nights as a couple. Absolutely massive room with three single beds in (we pushed two together) and a very decent sized bathroom. Sheets felt a little damp on occasion and the curtains let in a lot of light but otherwise sound. Breakfast varied from day to day (buffet on some occasions, plates made up on others)...

Its cheap way to stay very close to Gdansk dowtown. The city is very nice and I have seen much more attractive looking hotels around. Our fault, we didnt read reviews more properly :) Hotel is located in some university house and the interior looks like it. Big uncomfortable rooms and no or poor english at reception desk. For 1...

We stayed 2 nights at Dom Sonata in Gdansk from 25th till 27th August, where we could leave our car free of charge on the supervised parking. Accomodation is just comfortable and clean, as well as the bathroom. In the morning there is a rich breakfast buffet and the kind lady in charge prepares the scrambled or fried eggs completely...

The rooms here were large, clean and bright. The only thing is the location is a bit of a drive from the train station and a ten minute walk from the centre of the old town, which is fine if you are a couple or in a group but the area could seem a little unsafe if you are a...

Location was a 5/10 min stroll from the main tourist area. Room was bare bones, our main complaint is our room was on the top floor, in a tower- so we had to go up extra stairs, the room only had 2 very small windows at the floor level, and 3 skylights that could be opened, it was almost unbearable...

we were living there this past week and the rooms are average, looks like pupils living quarters. nothing wrong with that,we enjoyed the closeness to the old city whitch lies only 3-5 min walk away. What we didnt like was the language problems..there were 3 different receptionists and only one could halfway communicate in english. the other two got panic everytime...

Dom Sonata is located in the Music Academy compound in the heart of Gdansk. The rooms are spacious and clean, perfectly suited for the budget visitors. Cheap meals (breakfast and lunches) can be bought at the student cafe on ground floor, or in a posh Malinowy Ogrod restaurant in Dom Muzyka next door. The reception is open 24/7 and the...
