The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the beautiful old town of Prague. And that is about all that was good about it. The room was very disappointing: all surfaces were very dusty (table, bed side tables, bed's head board...), there were cracks on the entire wall, the bathroom was in very poor conditions and dirty, the shower...

I stayed at Residence Bene for 2 weeks while I attended a writing workshop. I couldn't have been more pleased! The hotel is in a great location, but more importantly, the staff is so friendly! In my 2 weeks, I must have seen at least 5 different people at the front desk; each one was pleasant and helpful. The hotel...

Stayed in Prague for one night as part of a trip to Austria - As we were flying in late and leaving early, we were looking for somewhere for a few hours sleep and a shower, so this place fitted the bill! All very basic but large rooms, and in a good central location, with parking nearby (at extra cost)...

I stayed there for 4 nights, and it was 4 nights too many. The hotel is very old, and they are trying to convert some of the rooms, which means guys with buckets of bricks roam the hallways and front entrance. The room I got upon check in was on the top floor, and the window view was to scaffolding...

We stayed three nights at the Residence Bene - arrived after midnight the first night; I had emailed the hotel to let them know we would be late, and they assured me that the receptionist would wait, which he did. We had a room on the very top floor (7th) which was lovely and quiet; comfortable room, and good bathroom....

I stayed in this hotel with my Mother for 1 night only because our flight was cancelled. The hotel is grim, the room was old fashioned and cheap decor wise and wasn't the cleanest, there was a party kicking off in the room next door when we arrived in at night so were kept awake with that and then the...

Dear Bruce, I am very sorry for the inconveniences during your stay. We are trying to make improvements in the room decor. I understand especially your outrage regarding the construction that was in run this year but which we could not affect effectively and the cancelled flight. Fortunately, the construction is now finished and this should help a lot. Sorry...

The residence was full when we arrived and they accommodate us in a studio close to the residence. So I don't know the rooms of the residence. The location is very good considering the price. We use their parking, it's in a parking lot at 3 blocks from the hotel. The breakfast is OK.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
