What a great place. Very central location. Only a few mins walk from wenceslas square. Room was clean and definitely worth the money I paid. Bathroom is small but has all you need. Fresh towels every day too. No noise other than other residents returning/leaving but even that wasn't excessive. Would definitely come back

I stayed at Pension Alabastr for two nights this month (September 2016) and have very mixed feelings about it. The location is excellent, as is the price. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is air conditioned and reasonably clean (I wouldn't call it pristine). Reception is open from 8 am until 8 pm. You can order breakfast the day...

I was traveling to Prague from Poland and made a stop to book a room for the night. Used my laptop, made the booking, aded all the details that were needed and started driving as we still had about 350km to the city. Also after i made the booking i sent them a message saying we will arrive a bit...

I have been at the Pension Alabastr at the beginning of the month of July and the people at the entrance/reception were very polite. The rooms on the other hand were really down in value both for the mattresses on the bed and the bathrooms. But it was bad especially for the clustrofobic sensation and the NOT clean at all...

We found this hotel to be excellent for our purpose. It's about 5 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and 10 from the Old Town. The. Room was comfortable and clean. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food or restaurant.

Pension Alabastr is very centrally located, only a few minutes’ walk from Wenceslas Square – but still in calm surroundings. The cheapest way to arrive from the airport is to take first bus 119 (tickets from Public Transport Information booth at the airport or from the bus driver) to Nádraží Veleslavín underground station and then continue by underground (green line...

Thank you for taking good care of my needs in a friendly and personal way! The room was nice and clean with good space and a lovely shower. Perfect location in this nice and quiet street - a base for experiencing the city.

Stayed with my husband in Feb 2015. We got the room on the top floor from where we could actually see the castle. The room was clean, neat and cozy, the same goes for the bathroom. The location is superb, only few minutes walk from the Wenceslas square. The glass elevator with a view was also a plus. A nice...

This property is in a great location to explore Prague. You can walk from the main train station easily. It is clean, secure and they bring breakfast to your room. I would stay here again without hesitation. Basic but good value.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
