Hotel Dar is just wonderful. It's tucked in a quaint little alley way off of Old Town Square. It's clean, modern, and safe. Our room was beautiful, high ceilings, fresh. The bed was comfortable and cozy. The breakfast buffet was good, albeit a bit predictable. The staff is well-meaning and friendly, they definitely aim to please. If you are debating...

I would recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms average but clean. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The hotel itself is so central, you couldn't ask for more. It is just next to the Astronomical Clock. The only thing that slightly vexed us was the noise of people/cleaners from about 7am every morning. Apart from...

My mom and I visited Prague in May-June of 2008. We stayed at the Dar Hotel. We both loved it. The hotel is newly renovated. Very clean, bright. It is in very center of Prague near the Astronomical Clock, with in a walking distance from everything. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. They were happy to assist...

I emailed Pascuale at Arcadia to see if there was room for us, unfortunately he was fully booked(no supprise). Pascuale said he could accomidate us in another apartment which was in the centre of prague called Hotel Dar. Hotel Dar is a group of brand new apartments. We arrived at the airport to be met by our driver who was...

Through the wonderful assistance of Pasquale, who works in cooperation with the Arcadia Residence, I stayed at the Hotel Dar for ten evenings in September, 2007. The location, price, and quality of the room made this a most special and positive experience. Efficient elevators service the three-story hotel with an adjoining restaurant. Don't forget to try the drink Becherovka! The...

My girlfriend and I stayed at hotel dar in September for 5 nights. We actually were only supposed to stay for 4 but we loved it so much we decided to spend one more night. Prague is split into 2 sections, old town and new town. The hotel is located directly in the middle. You litterally step out of the...

We were looking forward to staying at Arcadia from the reviews, but like others who have written we accepted accomodations at the Hotel Dar because of the construction mentioned. Dar is a new hotel right near the main square so the location is good. The downside is that there is tons of street noise, even if the windows are closed....

As owner of Arcadia Residence I would be pleased to be contacted by the author of this review. I usually meet personally all the guests (even those staying at Hotel Dar) when they arrive and when they leave on last day. I ask everybody a feedback about their stay and I don't remember anyone reporting me all that bad. I...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
