The welcome drink when you arrive or return to the hotel after been out is a lovely touch, you can have tea, coffee, beer or a...

It's hard to write anything about this magnificent hotel that hasn't already been said before. As stated in the title of this review, this is the best hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at during our 7 years of (quite alot of) travelling. The hotel itself is in an amazing location - in a nice quiet, quaint street...

Our high expectations were exceeded from the minute we arrived for a three night stay. The owner and staff are trained professionals who anticipated our needs and met them with enthusiasm. With a warm welcome, our tours were booked, dinner reservations made and a driver provided as a courtesy. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The breakfasts was superb:...

Stayed last year. I have never experienced a more helpful, gracious inn keeper and staff anywhere! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We were greeted at the door and offered beer before we even checked in. They drove us to all of our excursions out walking range. The service was almost embarrassing. At the breakfast, which...

Lovely from start to finish. The complimentary ride from airport, the delicious breakfast, the quiet room with comfortable bed, the nice shower, the afternoon tea, wine or beer. The tours that were recommended. Most of all the kindness and patience of a top notch staff who make you feel welcome. This is a true gem and I'd send anyone here...

I have stayed at many large 4/5 star hotels that do not compare with this hidden gem in Prague! I recently stayed at the Hotel Residence Agnes for 5 nights based largely on Trip Advisor reviews. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every respect. It is a small hotel located a short walk...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Residence Agnes**** is located in the heart of charming Old Town, just a few steps from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov containing preserved synagogues that attract tourists from around the world; it is also close to the attractive Palladium shopping centre. Due to its location, the residence is the ideal base for your visit to Prague – whether for a shopping spree, or to visit cultural and historical sites. The first mention of the building dates back to 1369, when it was bought by Matyas for “two three-scores of groschens”.
