My wife and I spent 4 nights in the Savic over Christmas 2016. We can't speak too highly of our experience . The hotel's location is ideal, in the heart of the Old Town and consequently a casual stroll to the to the Old Town Square, etc, etc. Th staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and good natured, and...

Gorgeous hotel, has retained the characteristics of it's previous use as a monastery, but the rooms have everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. The location is fantastic, 2 mins from the clock tower and Old Town square with it's beautiful Christmas tree and amazing market, only 5 mins from the Charles Bridge. Despite being so central to...

The Hotel Savic is an absolute jewel. I heard great reviews of it and after staying there for a few days during Christmas 2016, it was the best place to stay. The hotel is built from a 14 century Monastery. I thought that the upgrades over the years would hide any sign of the buildings character, but that wasn't the...

I was blown away with the staff at this hotel. When we were leaving for an early train, they packed us each a breakfast pack to take with us. You could not get a better location in Prague -- incredibly close to everything in Old Town and around. Hands down, awesome experience and would choose them again anytime!

What really sells this hotel is the location and staff. Only about a 3 minute walk to the main square and 5 minute walk to Charles Bridge the hotel could be better placed. Although a central location the hotel is located on a quiet side street and even staying over New Years Eve there was not too much street noise....

Truly old style but with modern facilities. Delicious buffet breakfast and restaurant with Wi-Fi and right in the "Old Town",which means within walking distance from most of sightseeing places. Also has a few places nearby for a beer or two such as Sad Man's Tongue Bar and Bistro.

Stayed at the Savic for three nights in December 2016. Staff are very pleasant, especially Mira and Jana on reception. Room was beautiful and had excellent facilites. I would suggest changing coffee service at breakfast to self service as this can be quite hit and miss. Mira at reception arranged a tour with a local provider called Paul for my...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
