The room was clean and the bunk beds were fine. The bathrooms were a bit on the gross side, but that is the risk you take when sharing a dorm style room with 10 people. The place was quiet at night, and the staff was very helpful. It is a not a far walk from Old Town, maybe about 10...

The stay was both affordable as well as well-connected to the tourist locations and old town square of prague. For short trips and for long as well, the hostel is a good option to save some money and live close by to the old town. All in all a good buy for the pocket.

Well located, cheap. Rooms are not the best, but for this price you couldn't find better. Helpfull staff, always explain how to find places you want, gives free maps. There is few shops near, one good sandwiche place.

Room was spacious, and secure enough, behind two locked doors. Linen and extras all cost more, but the wi-fi was free. Hardly had any contact with the staff beyond putting valuables in and out of the safe. Bed was comfy enough. Second floor rooms are just above street level, so close the blinds before getting down to anything.

My experience at Chili hostel was overall fine. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights and only paid €40. Considering the location, it's an absolute steal. We were given a safety deposit box free of charge for our passports and valuables (car keys etc), fresh linen and towels. Our room 42 was up a long flight of stairs but...

I stayed at Hostel Chili over the weekend of the 4-6th Sept 2015. During this time, the following happened: 1) Our rooms had pillows that were stained brown with dirt and filth 2) We had dried blood over several beds, sheets and pillows 3) A number of the guests booked in the party experienced issue with bed bugs However, none...

Ok so yes it's cheap but I don't care how cheap a place is it should not have bed bugs. We all got eaten alive at night.... Still itchy 10 days later. Staff are also unfriendly and unhelpful. There are better places in Prague.

The hostel is located in the city center near number of the most famous attractions in the city. The receptionists were very nice and willing to help, the hostel was perfect considering the price and location. Do not expect any luxury but for tourists who are going to enjoy the city for a low amount of money it is perfect....

The staff is really friendly. Its location is 10-15 minutes away from Charles bridge and about 10 minutes away from the nearest metro station. You get towels, bed linen and free wifi only in the lobby unfortunately. It's a non-smoking hostel which is kinda relieving. The dorm rooms are spacious enough for the number of people inside, the bathrooms however...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
