I got a chance to stay in the Deluxe Terrace room and was not disappointment. Spacious clean room with all necessary amenities, beautiful bathroom, brand new large t.v, and a spacious terrace to have a seat in the garden. Service through-out the stay was great, everyone being kind and welcoming. Any requests or questions were answered with sincerity. Warm thanks... More

Excellent service, and staff. Our room was very nice with a terrace and garden view. Location was good, not great, but very quiet and peaceful at night. The walking was not strenuous at all and there is tram (trolley) service close by that can make getting around even easier.

I recently stayed at this hotel for the first time during a business trip to Prague. It's just a few minutes walk from many of the attractions and restaurants and a short cab ride from other parts of the city. The hotel is quite simply STUNNING! It is built on the site of an old monastery. It is very rare... More

This is a beautiful hotel a bit away from the main part of Prague, still walking to most places but it is on the Castle side . We walked over the Charles Bridge to most attractions. All you expect about a Mandarin Hotel but in the best location of Prague! Beautiful and luxurious hotel with excellent services and installations. You might find something similar in other 5 stars hotel, but not in this perfect and charming location!

I have stayed at two other Mandarin Oriental hotels (Vegas, San Francisco-now closed), and enjoyed both. this is just below the Charles Bridge, and is located in a fine spot to walk to both the old town/Castle sites. The reception, dining and room areas are excellent and, despite the predictably high rate, worth the expense. If you can afford this... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
