The Hotel Modra Ruze is conveniently located halfway between the New Town and Old Town neighborhoods. It is located about 150 yards north of Wenceslas Square and is about 200 yards south of the Old Town Hall and the Astronomical Clock Tower. It is also just a short tram ride from the train station (and the tram stop is not...

Couldn't ask for a better location if I tried. After exiting the subway at Wenceslas Square, the hotel was only a short 7 min walk and provided a nice spot between Old Town and the Wenceslas Square area. Room was exactly as I asked: Good air condition, quiet, with excellent WiFi connection. Not much for a view, but that wasn't...

I spent the last weekend at the Hotel Modrá růže as a birthday surprise/treat from my other half. We arrived on a Friday evening and returned on the Monday evening. The hotel is clean and very friendly. The room was very large, comfortable and warm (needed as the temperature outside was -9 overnight!) The breakfast was very varied and very...

We stayed in room 301. The room was huge and cleaned each day. We received bad wifi connection from our room which was a downfall but the best factor of this hotel is the excellent location. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The hotel is a small boutique hotel centrally located in the Arty district of Prague and is located nearby some modern restaurants that are able to cater for decent quick meals throughout the day into the evening. Meals that are prepared at the hotel seem to be only to cater to groups using the conferencing facilities and for breakfast. The...

The hotel is located in a perfect spot in Pragues old town. The rooms are big and have a good standard. I slept like a baby in their bed. I think the breakfast had what I usually want (but no extras) and it was great! The scrambled eggs were perfect no doubt about it. The hotel also have a very...

This hotel is very conveniently located to be close to the center of town and the metro. I stayed in a single room that was still fairly spacious: 2 single beds, a private bathroom with tub and several closets. The breakfast in the morning was extensive and well managed. There can be a little bit of noise from the surrounding...

This hotel was clean and spacious. The bathroom was very clean. Above all, the location was real reason to stay here. A couple of blocks in any direction was something we wanted to see. One thing to remember is you can't check in early. (2 p.m. checkin time).

I stayed in a single room. It was very clean, but very basic and small. Two single beds and a dresser; small private bathroom. The location was ideal, however. It is one block from the Astronomical clock, and one block in the other direction takes you to an enormous outdoor shopping mall/street with all the modern shops. It was walking...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
