The girl on the reception was very helpful, she showed us on the map what's worth seeing in Prague with instructions how to get there. Room was very stylish with great bathroom. Maybe one medium towel for hair would be nice. We had little troubles to find the place as it's located on a small side street and the name... More

Not only was the shuttle ride from the airport affordable and convenient, but when the 5 of us arrived late in the evening the front desk clerk was very courteous, nice and went out of his way to give us advise about where to explore that evening. Our room was on the top floor of the building across the street... More

I was at Miss Sophies for one night and I can say that Im really happy with this choice, at the front desk, they speak a perfect english and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I stayed in a double room at Miss Sophie's. Our room price came with breakfast included. Price of the room was a bit on the high side but after coming from Oktoberfest we needed a private room to catch up on sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a room in the main building. The shower was nice... More

I arrived in the morning and was happily greeted by the lady at the front desk, who allowed to leave my backpack in the luggage room. There were very large cages there with lock and key provided free of charge. The reception was very well staffed with many different people working the various shifts, all of whom were very polite... I changed hotel last minute to .Miss Sophie as I thought air con will come handy and I was right. Overall the stay was pleasant. Stayed for 1 night, booked via their hotel for around 60 USD. Tips: book REALLY early, I had the higher price simply because I was late by one day. In summary, this place is recommended... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Spotless, modern & spacious rooms, the most delicious breakfasts ever and it's in a good location only metres from a tram stop or a short walk from the old town. The hotel's own map with recommendations on it was fantastic and a great touch. I do have a few gripes, however. They are... More

We actually stayed there this week and only came back a few hours ago and the hotel is absolutely fine but nothing better than fine. For the money I paid, I was expecting a boutiqe hotel with fantastic facilities in a very nice location but alas it was only mediocre in every sense. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist... I liked this place overall. Inside was stylish but functional, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was walking distance to the centre, main train station, etc., though the immediate surroundings were nothing special. The room was attractive and very clean. WiFi worked well. Breakfast (though it did cost extra) was excellent. My only complaint is that I... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
