The honest website and Günther's friendly email were a good start. Excellent location, a lot of information on touristic and non-touristic things (what to see & where to eat, also in the neighbourhood) in which we weren't disappointed once, clean & tidy room and fair breakfast. Great choice for people not wanting to spend their days at the accommodation, but...

ARCO Guesthouse is highly recommended! We got married in Prague and looked for an hotel that can offer comfort and a reasonable price as well. My fiancee found ARCO Guesthouse and some more hotels at booking.com. She sent a mail explaining what exactly do we need and the ARCO Guesthouse owner Guenther replied immediately. He met us personally at the...

Hello Oleg, Sophie, Thank you so much for your reviews! I am totally happy that everything worked out so well - I have to admit that I was quite nervous before your arrival, as I felt partly responsible for this most important date in your life. Once again congratulations! On this occasion I would like to thank all others for...

We enjoyed our trip to Prague very much, but maybe it wouldn't be so good if we weren't staying at ARCO Guesthouse. The room #1 was quiet and cozy, the bed was comfortable and big enough, the breakfasts were delicious, the library (yes, there is quite a voluminous library that consists of a lot of books, guides and albums) was...

Our stay at arco guesthouse couldn't have been better. The room was great, the breakfast was lovely and above all, the service was excellent. Guenther knows an astounding amount about the history of the city and during the tour he'll show you every beautiful building has a story behind it. This greatly enriches the sightseeing and as such we wholeheartedly...

Nestled down an alley my friend and I shuffled in the snow to Arco Guesthouse. We knew we’d landed as there were the telltale plants hanging outside, which was one of the reasons I chose to stay here. I trust green fingered folks. Guenther was kind enough to meet us in the middle of the night and let us in....

WOW. We've had quite a few reviews that left me with my mouth open, but this one seems to top them all. Usually one would start like "Thank you for sharing your evaluation with us. We are happy to..." No. This is simply the best that can happen to anybody in the accommodation business. Such a feedback makes my day...

Arco Guesthouse is located close to the city center, yet safe from the tourist traps. There are many small cafes in the area and you will certainly enjoy its neighborhood. The hostel is charming with a designer's touch. Rooms are cozy and well equipped. Its owner, Gunther, is very kind and helpful and you will learn a lot from him...

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighbourhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighbourhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
