Beautiful hotel with a lovely ancient ambience, located right on the main square of the old town and yet incredibly quiet and private! Rooms are very spacious, ours had a view on the Tyn Cathedral steeples, really gorgeous. Breakfast is great, service is excellent, staff very friendly. It could do with new carpets, but excellent for all the rest. We...

Our stay at the Ventana started on the wrong foot with us leaving our backpack, containing a couple of thousand Euro in cash, our passports and IPad in the back of a dodgy taxi from the train station (beware train station taxis - it is cheaper, and safer, to book a hotel car). The staff at the hotel got on...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night to see the Christmas markets. Perfect location, 60 seconds from the Old Town Square! We stayed in a loft room but were upgraded to a Junior suite for no extra charge. Our room was clean spacious and boasted a view of the Square. Breakfast was good with hot and...

Based on prior reviews of this hotel in TA we have just spent 4 days in Prague using this hotel as our base. It has to be the perfect location to stay, within 50 mtrs of Old Town Square. Facilities/Staff/Breakfasts good, but to improve each room needs a tea/coffee/kettle. This is not hotel where visitors sit in the bar and...

Firstly : This hotel is about one minutes walk to the Old Town Square, Right in the middle of the action, but just far enough away from the crowds, so no noise. Secondly, Very nice building and very well decorated, Now for some facts: - No tea/coffee making facility in the room - No Iron/Ironing board in the room -...

Again booked following research on Tripadvisor. Was not disappointed. Hotel a little difficult to find by taxi with the one way systems, easier on foot - right opposite the Tyn Church. We received a friendly welcome and shown to our deluxe room which had great views (on 2nd floor), overlooking the square and the Astroninomical Clock and Tyn Church. Bed...

Super location in the middle of everying. Large rooms, request a room with a loft on the front of the hotel.. The hotel is as close as you get get to the Old Town Square, 100 meters is my guess. Great accomadating staff, but dificult to get to, if you have a rental car. The staff will drive your car...

From the moment we arrived at the Ventana to the moment we left, we were treated warmly and professionally by the staff. We had a large group covering 7 of the rooms in the hotel and we all felt the same about our experience. The rooms were very large (especially the upper floor with views of the old town hall)...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

“Room category above basicis best value (with wardrobes). There's a slight noise factor, but it is a lively place right off the square.”
  • Room 23 - we had moved chairs so we both could 'people watch' on the street below.
  • Room 23, just opposite the rear of Tyn Church.
