We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel which was booked in advance (sensible, because many other taxi drivers we encountered didn't know the hotel and we had to direct them with "Mala Strana McDonalds" which rather shatters the illusion of romantic medieval...More

This is a wonderful little hotel (8 rooms/suites) with a welcoming and helpful staff, and a perfect location, just a few steps from the Charles Bridge but away from the hustle & bustle of the Old Town. We had one of the suites. It was...More

Domus Balthasar is a great hotel, ideally located close to the Charles Bridge but still very quiet. Our room was really big with a very comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served in the Bohemian cafe, accessible from the hotel....More

This property is a prime example of why I use Tripadvisor as the reviews on this site led me to this wonderful little hotel. The proximity to the Charles Bridge (150 feet) is second to none. Rooms are spacious and the attached restaurant is everything...More

Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch
shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

We have air conditioners only in the attic rooms where it becomes really hot during summer. All the other rooms have fans and fairly big windows and we believe it is sufficient. It doesn't get too hot most of the days and as the house we are located in has thick walls made of stone, the temperature there is usually very pleasant.
