So this hostel is beautiful all round. It's quite traditional looking rather than modern which is exactly what I wanted - to experience Prague culture. Reception staff was friendly enough, the place was very clean and the ceilings are incredible. I lay in bed at night admiring it for hours! The hostel is over the bridge near the castle rather...

Great location, clean and spacious room and en suite, friendly staff. The only downfall for me was the tiny towels! If you have the space, bring your own! It's quite a quiet hostel, and there is no real 'bar'

The hostel is centrally located and close to the Prague castle and Charles bridge. However, its nearly 1.5km far from the old town square. If most of your attractions are on the old town side, there are couple of other hostels. Positives: This hostel is more of a hotel than a hostel. You will be provided with towels and toiletries...

This hostel is a decent stay. The location is quite good , a few minutes from the castle and the bridge , plus Prague is very walkable on its own. The wifi was fast and the rooms were clean. I stayed in an 8 room dorm with a private bathroom and it was very clean. Downsides ; there is no...

Amazing hostel! Felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Very clean, our 6 bed dorm came with its own ensuite which was very clean. However our room was the same floor as the lobby and was noisy during the night. This hostel is a little further away from the main attractions than other hostels; maybe an extra 5-10min walk....

I've stayed in 40+ hostels worldwide and this hostel was above average. GREAT GREAT location. You are less than 10 min walk to the Charles Bridge AND to the castle! I was excited to stay in a 17th century hostel; my hostel room was on the street level and I could hear the reception desk noises all night long and...

Hands down, no questions asked, this is the best hostel I've stayed at this far in Europe. I found about this hostel through HostelWorld. Hostel Santini's location is perfect. There are no other words to describe it other than perfect. It is a 10 minute walk from the Palace, and the Charles Bridge. You are in the Old Town within...

first of all, the hostel is really beautiful & old. but because of the high ceilings and acoustics it is impossible to sleep cos any whisper turns into a roar. also they have a very squeaky beds. Breakfast is declared as a "buffet", but in fact it has only 2 types of cereal with milk and a sandwich, which you...

Hostel Santini is very centrally located in the Castle district. The staff are friendly and the amenities are good. Wifi works in your room, towels and shower gel etc are free for guests, there is (seemingly) endless hot water. The free breakfast is only passable, but it's free hostel food, so what can you expect?! The standout is the quality...

Hostel santini was clearly a very fancy hotel. I was very impressed with how lavish it was for a hostel. We had our own private bathrooms, beds were comfy, everything was immaculately clean as they clean your room twice a day...met some really interesting people and it had a lovely chilled atmosphere. The only downfall here was the free breakfast....that...

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
