U Medvidku will please travellers that like to have memories. We booked another hotel which it turned out was over-booked but they recommended this one, thanked them as we were passing. Firstly the location, inside the Praha I district. Within ready walking distance of the attractions you will have on your wish list. Not noisy when we visited for four...

I Stayed here as part of a large group for 3 nights over a weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a Great location right near to the nightlife and not far from Wenceslas square and Charles bridge is about a ten minute or so walk away. The bar joined to the hotel is also great for pre...

Stayed for a week and was able to see most of the city on foot based on the location of this hotel/brewery. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds (superior room has two twin beds pushed together). The bathroom has excellent water pressure in the shower, which by the way, is just a hose connected to the tub with a half glass...

This hotel is ideally located in the center of Prague. We were able to walk everywhere and when needed a metro stop was just across the way (2min walk) Hotel was easy to get to from the airport on public transportation. Although the hotel can set up a ride from the airport we found it economically better with a three...

Hotel with character, well located in the historical city center. Our room was spacious and pleasantly furnished (excellent bed !) with a beautifully painted renaissance ceiling. Bathroom large, functional and clean. Only downside: the room wasn't made daily even though we asked for it. But staff was always very friendly and eager to help. Breakfast was nourishing though rather plain....

Only meat eaters need to enter (as a vegetarian my choice was basically pasta or fried cheese). I opted for fried cheese. It was served with French fries which I will say were the best I have had in Prague so far. The others ate a pork knee, pork steak and grilled boar. Definitely a place to eat meat not...

The hotel is conveniently located close to all the main attractions; Karls bridge, Central square, National Theatre etc. And there is a metro stop just around the corner. The room we stayed in was very spacious with comfortable beds. It could use some redecoration and a new carpet. Besides that everything was clean. Our room was at the back of...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

The Hotel U Medvidku Brewery is situated in a 15th century house, and original historical components, such as Gothic trusses and painted timber ceilings, have been preserved in some rooms. The mini-brewery is biggest attraction for our guests. It makes the STRONGEST BEER in the world, XBEER-33, using historical technology.
