This hotel is right in the middle of Prague, close to trams and the Metro. It is an older building (1466) and that is part of its charm. All 33 rooms are different and you know you are not staying in a "factory hotel". The staff were outstanding , check in was good and a free beer from the hotel's...

A small hotel - 33 rooms - in a great Prague location. Excellent, friendly staff, let down a little by rather dated bedrooms with modest facilities. Shower a little awkward, and one day's ration of shampoo only. Very good breakfast. Restaurant huge but good, as is the beer brewed on the premises. Free wi-fi only worked on ground floor, in...

Dear RogerB, we would like to thank you for your nice and kind review. In april we have just finnished 10 new superior rooms including brand new bathrooms which would really hold up to a high rating. We didn't stay overnight here, just visited the bar...on multiple occasions. Their own beer is very tasty and nicely priced, they also serve the usual cider and spirits to accommodate others who don't enjoy beer. There is some seating, some booths, some bar stools around large kegs and another booth encased in a boiler, very interesting! There is a wee...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel U Medvidku Brewery is the only hotel with a brewery in Prague. A former medieval brewery was converted into a three-star hotel with 43 unique rooms. The Hotel U Medvidku Brewery is situated in a 15th century house, and original historical components, such as Gothic trusses and painted timber ceilings, have been preserved in some rooms. The hotel includes a traditional Prague pub with typical Czech cuisine, a beer bar with a wide selection of Czech beer, shop offering beer and brewery souvenirs and a congress hall. The mini-brewery is biggest attraction for our guests. It makes the STRONGEST BEER in the world, XBEER-33, using historical technology. Hotel U Medvidku Brewery is located directly in the city centre of Prague, close to the Old Town Square and National Theatre. ... more   less
