Just returned from a 4-day visit to Prague, and the President Hotel was our very comfortable base. The location is perfect with the Jewish Quarter and its attractions in the streets behind the hotel and the Old Town Square etc within easy walking distance. Indeed we found the location so convenient that we visited all attractions on foot, not finding...

At the moment there is some renovation work until the end of this year, but they were drilling just during the day and we couldn't hear...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location of the hotel was great, very short walk to the heart of the old town. Our room on 5th floor (there is a lift) was very clean, quiet, warm and comfortable. It was just like the official pictures. The view over the river was fantastic, and the window seat/reading nook was lovely to sit...

Was very pleasantly surprised when we walked in the room, which had been recently decorated in exquisite taste. Breakfast was also very good with lots of choice something for everyone. The hotel itself is located just a few minutes walk from the centre and very handy to get to all the main attractions. Highly recommend this hotel.

We chose this hotel as it seemed very good value and it certainly was. We were very impressed with the service of all the staff, especially the Reception Staff & Concierge. They were very keen to offer advice on what attractions to visit/trips to do & it was no problem to book a city sight seeing tour for us. The...

This hotel is so central. It is perfect for getting to the old square within 10 minutes. We went the wrong way for the first few days so when you come out of the hotel doors, go left ( away from the ramp) and turn left when you get to the end of the road. That road leads past all...

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel with my husband and another couple. I can honestly say it is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. We were in room 430 which had a lovely view out on to the river. The room was furnished to a very high standard and was spotlessly...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
