This hotel is located within easy walking distance of the old town and on the same street as The Palladium, a five storey shopping centre, with all the usual high street brands. The hotel itself is welcoming and very clean, staff are friendly and efficient and the restaurant is a must, food is absolutely excellent for both lunch or dinner,...

My wife and I recently stayed here for 4 nights with friends and found this a first class hotel. We arrived late in the evening (10 pm) and although the restaurant closed not long afterwards we were found a lovely table and the staff were very attentive. The food served here is excellent and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was...

We have just returned from a lovely weekend break in Prague and had to review this hotel as it was just excellent. I was a little worried about complaints of traffic noise being heard from the rooms but we were placed on the top floor in room 602 and it was very quiet! The room was small, but beautifully decorated....

We recently had the pleasure to visit the beautiful city of Prague in the Czech Republic. Our stay at the Art Deco Imperial Hotel was perfect. From the beautiful room, magnificent cuisine and attentive staff, our visit could not have been improved upon.

We booked our weekend break in Prague through Indulgent Escapes and we were not disappointed. The Executive room was excellent. Large and well furnished with marble clad bathroom complete with bath, separate shower and two toilets (one separate). We managed to get a table in the hotel cafe/restaurant for lunch and it was very good. Unfortunately the two nights that...

We have just spent 5 nights there, a great way to get to know Prague. They arranged a pick up from the airport which was a really stress free way to get to the hotel. Our room was large and did have a cigarette smell, but as I found out nearly everyone smokes in Prague. The coffee maker was a...

We chose this hotel after seeing good reviews, and because of the beautiful architecture. It was our first hotel stay as a family and was a very pleasurable experience. We had no qualms, except for the maids forgetting to stock up our amenities one night. :( Overall good hotel, tasty breakfast, friendly staff. Very welcoming. Will visit again.

A hotel full of history and character. We were persuaded to upgrade to a huge room which was great apart from a distinct smell of stale cigarettes. I guess hard to get rid of after decades of heavy smoking which seems the norm in Prague. Hotel is well situated for all the sights and has an excellent restaurant.

Went to this beautiful hotel for a 3 night xmas break. Walking into the fabulous room was the start of a wonderful experience......the room was spacious, clean and warm. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff in reception were helpful and polite. The gentleman at the bar, in the evening, served us like we were the only customers :). The location...

Great hotel centrally located and clean rooms. Service was good and breakfast had a good variety of choices. Would recommend this hotel and great by europian standards. However, was not impressed by the dinner at imperial cafe.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
