You can reach the hotel by taking a bus connection to the underground subway and get off at Muzeum Stop. The hotel is located just around the corner of Wenceslas Square and directly across from The National Museum on Mezibranska Road. When we arrived, the 24 hr. front desk buzzed us in. There's a computer for the guests to use,...

We stayed 4 nights and were impressed with the room. The breakfast was varied and plenty. The staff were helpful. The hotel is just around the corner from The National Museum which is situated at the top of Wencelas Square. A pleasant walkdown this square leads you to The Old Square which in December is very festive with many stalls...

Came to Prague with an inclusive tour and stayed the first three nights at the Marriott. We wanted to stay another week at the end of the tour, but the rates were absurd. Looked up B&Bs and chose PM based on its location and price. We were not at all sorry that we did! There was a distinct IKEA-like feel...

My travel buddy and I stayed at the Pension Museum (PM) mid-September 2007. I must preface this review by stating that my research on Wencezlas Square was limited and had I known how touristy and sleazy it would be, I probably would not have chosen this B&B (but again, that has more to do with the location than the pension...

We had booked another hotel, which had a sewer problem, and they re-booked us to this one. It was a pleasant surprise, the rooms are spacious, staff is friendly, great location, and the breakfast was excellent!

Pension Museum is a great little pension located at the top of Wenceslas Square and in easy walking distance of all the main central tourist attractions in Prague. I stay at this Pension on a regular basis and find the location, rooms and atmosphere excellent. It is a 12 room pension converted from an old school (not that you would...

We booked three rooms almost 3 months prior to arrival and thought we got a good deal. On new years eve we arrived and were told by the gentleman that he could not accomodate us due to a fault with heating. We were all totally unconvinced because of the nervous expression on his face and tone of voice, and being...

Location, location, location: this wonderful little gem of a small bed and breakfast is literally steps from the National Museum, Wenceslas Square, and the metro station. And as if location is not enough, our clean and quiet room faced a beautifully landscaped courtyard graced with the chirping of birds and the tinkle of a fountain. A complete breakfast (good coffee!)...

The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. Our ground- floor room was spacious and quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast coffee could have been hotter and the yogurt colder (in fact some was out of date). Perfect location for the museum, Wenceslas Square and the metro.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
