Excellent location, just 2 minutes from astronomical clock. The hotel room was really big and very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good and the breakfast room/restaurant nicely furnished. I would recommend to anyone!

My partner and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a perfect location approx a minute walk from the astronomical clock. Very central to all the major tourist attractions. We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and excellent value for money. We had a lovely view over the courtyard and...

My husband found this hotel through a business card, because his parents had stayed at the sister property in 2006. This one was much better, especially considering the special promotional price of 79 Euro a night. When I stayed there, there were no more rooms at that price so they offered me the "apartment" (n. 711) for 89 Euro per...

Before booking, we studied the previous reviews on this web site. Hotels in the city centre seem to be a bit overpriced and this applies to Metamorphis as well. Having said that the accommodation itself was excellent. The double room in the attic was recently renovated, clean with a huge king size bed. Someone may find the church bells disturbing....

I stayed here for 6 nights recently. The location is superb - 5 minutes' walk to my conference venue on the other side of the Old Town Square and within a few hundred metres of the main attractions. The review title refers to my experience in my attic double room - fabulous old beams, but directly between the bed and...

Hotel was two minutes walk from Old Town Square but in a quiet courtyard so best of both worlds! Hotel was traditionally decorated and our room was beautiful, a mixture of an attic room and a suite as it had two twin beds (with the most comfortable soft cotton duvet and pillows!), sofa, coffee table and modern bathroom. Lovely wooden...

Lovely boutique hotel in excellent location. Rooms had great character and were spotlessly clean. It is situated right in the heart of the Old Town. Close to all the sights, cafes, restaurants and shops. The neighbourhood felt very safe. I will definately stay here again if returning to Prague!

This is our 4th visit to Prague and this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Excellent location! Our room was fantastic and the food in the hotel was so good. They make their own really fab pizza's and tirimasu. We ate in both the cafe and also the Club Restaurant in the cellar where you receive 15%...

The Metamorphis exceeded all of our expectations. Firstly, the location is prime, 60 seconds from the Old Town Square, overlooking an old courtyard. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room (721) was beautiful with beamed ceilings, parque wooden floor, spotlessly clean and the bathroom (5 piece) was stunning. We could not have chosen better, value for money is an...

What a little gem this very reasonably priced hotel turned out to be - close enough to the centre for all the night life to be within easy reach, but just far enough away from the main drag to be able to relax with a drink in the outdoor restaurant part of the hotel, and feel as if you're tucked...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
