Stayed with my wife for three nights. Our room was on the top floor (room no.40) and apart from manouvering around two supporting beams at either side of the room the area was spacious, clean and quiet. I did toy with the idea of swapping the room due to the beams (I am 6 foot 4) but the only other...

I had stayed in the Hotel Metamorphis before and had a wonderful time then with no problems whatsoever but on this particular occasion (just this week!) I was given a room right above the bar - was literally kept up all night each night of my stay! The music started at 10pm and lasted well into the next morning! The...

We went to Prague for a 4 day break and stayed here and we could not fault it. It was not over priced and was in a very central location. The staff were very friendly and had great knowledge of the area. The room itself was beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. We had a fantastic stay and would definately return...

Centrally located behind the Tyn Church and Old Town Square with large, well equipped rooms, friendly staff and excellent food quality. Our room felt more like a suite and even had a balcony onto a small rear courtyard, the twin beds were enormous and very comfortable and the bathroom large (in fact I've stayed in hotels with a smaller bedroom!)...

The Hotel Metamorphis is perfectly located in a charming little courtyard right off the old town square in Prague. The old Tyne church dates to 1135 and is literally a 3-minute walk from the hotel! The rooms are very spacious, and each bed is quite large. We had a room with a well-equipped kitchen which was perfect for families that...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
