The hotel is in a great location, right next to the Charles Bridge. Staff are very friendly, helpful and informative. We stayed in the annexe building, which is on a quiet, no-through street around the corner from the main hotel. The room was very spacious and nicely furnished, with good facilities (Nespresso machine, mini bar, DVD player). Rooms were cleaned...

We have just return home from spending six nights in this wonderful hotel in Prague. This historic hotel is full of old world charm. The hotel is set in two beautiful buildings a few steps apart. Although the buildings are old they have been renovated and both buildings have lifts. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, very clean and very...

Hotel Pod Vezi was a delightful respite in Prague. The location is excellent; right at the end of the Charles Bridge. Our room was in an auxiliary building immediately around the corner from the main building. When we arrived the helpful desk attendants told us that they had upgraded us to a suite. When we got to our room, we...

The room was very nice and comfortable. We also appreciated the daily treats that were left for us. The location was optimal for sightseeing and going out for dinner. They also arranged Prague Tours for us which was a good value.

We arrived at the hotel to such a warm and friendly greeting, The reception staff were so helpful in recommending places to go etc. We couldn't believe the fantastic location. Ideal for the Charles Bridge, central for walking, sightseeing, tram and metro, small supermarket just up the road etc. We were in the annex of the hotel (just seconds walk...

This was a great hotel in all capacities. Communication prior to our visit was timely and accurate. The location was perfect being about 30 seconds from Charles Bridge and the room we had cannot be faulted: spacious, clean, warm, comfortable. In addition the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here...

Chose this hotel to stay in for a long weekend in Prague after seeing the great reviews and was very glad I did. The location is perfect. Nestled in a pretty and quiet cup-de-sac right next to the picturesque Charles Bridge, you can easily walk over the bridge into the old town or through the lesser town to the castle....

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
