Firstly, we loved this hotel. We booked two rooms, one for my adult daughter and her best friend. The room we had was wonderful and massive!!!!. There was a large balcony overlooking the square and The Clock. The furniture appeared truely authentic, completely and delightfully 'over the top'. There was a very large Christmas tree, (yes, in our room) which...

Although I did not stay in the hotel itself, I was lured into it due to the rooftop bar which I had been previously recommended. Whilst making our way through the hotel it seemed a bit dark and dingy but pleasant overall. Once we got to the roof terrace, we were greeted nicely and taken to a table outside which...

Great place inside and outside - good food and even greater collection of cocktails - try the Pina colada especial and the panini with one crispy French fries, the dessert is also great if you have some space left

Entered the Restaurant and had to wait to get a seat allocated. In the end, we found ourselves a table. The waiter came over and handed us the menu but no greeting or hello. He came back after 6 minutes and took our drinks order. He then went off for another 6 minutes and came back to take our dinner...

We visited Prague for the Christmas markets. This room overlooks the markets, the Astronomical clock and Church of Our Lady before Týn. Could not have asked for a better room. The rest of the hotel was great and wait staff was extremely attentive.

This place made my stomach turn. We walked in and were moaned at by some rude waiter that obviously had had enough of tourists. Heck, they were all rude. And even awful to the tourists entering for a drink or meal on the 26 dec. I felt so sorry for all the families. This place was plain awful. I would...

Came into the old town to watch the Astronomical clock and saw this hotel restaurant just opposite. It was -2 outside so we sat inside and watched the rest of the world go by.The lobster soup was lovely as was the Seabream and the Bull steak. Service was quick and the staff were extremely polite and friendly. We would definitely...

Prague is an old city with so much to see. The buildings have so much character. Hotel U Prince is in an excellent location in the old city square. However it is not a 5 star hotel closer to high 3 or 4. Hotel staff are wonderful and always willing help which just adds to the pleasures of Prague. Our...

We stayed in a junior suite and was blown away by the size of the room and the style of it. The Black Angels bar in the basement is a wonder all of...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
