The perfect location for a tourist trip to Prague. Set off to one side of the busy tourist walkway of Charles Bridge it is a tranquil setting yet only a 100 meters away and you can be in the thick of it. Along with the now standard WiFi it provided the facility to print out your return boarding card. Very...

The Archibald at the Charles Bridge is the perfect starting point for your exploration of the city of Prague. conveniently located, you can discover the Prague sights on foot, as the hotel is right in the middle of it all. Despite this central location, the area around the hotel is surprisingly quiet and is situated just next to the Kampa...

Excellent hotel in a perfect location: good service, big rooms and OK breakfast. Do NOT take a car there, though - only 2 parking places in front of the hotel - very expensive. Generally, it is difficult to find a reasonable parking place in Prague so what we did was to find P+R next to the underground station (Ladvi) where...

Chose this Hotel based on reviews and because the website seemed to indicate that parking was available (at 23 Euros a night). The good- the location is awesome for getting to the Bridge early in the morning before the Hordes of tourists arrive (we were in Prague at the end of September and by noon the Bridge is wall-to-wall people)....

Can't beat the location. Right by the Charles Bridge, under the castle, with a short stroll to some of the best architecture in the world, plus there's nice cafes within a few steps...although food at the hotel isn't to be missed either...and what a great little restaurant (for dinner and breakfast). I think parking would be a nightmare, but thankfully...

Great breakfast, very good room with plenty of space. The elevator is not so good but very good for the price. Very close to charles bridge and main attractions. Only bad thing is that you need to park in the other side os the bridge, it was said we would have a parking but we need to look for a...

The Archibald at the Charles Bridge is a great hotel. A little upscale as far as Prague hotels in Old Town/Mala Strana go, and just really nice overall. Beautiful building, extremely clean. Booking was easy -- directly on the hotel's website, no deposit required. Some nights can be expensive so I was only able to stay here one night due...

We stayed here for a week while visiting Prague for business and touring and had a great time. The room (Room 30) was very quiet and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. The restaurant has a great breakfast and a great dinner menu. There is a riverfront cafe along the back of the building service lunchtime fare and sports an...

The best thing about the hotel is definitely its location. 1 minute from Charles bridge and 20 seconds from the river. It was quite at night (nice). I stayed at room 32 (floor ground). The room itself was okay. A bit smelly (dampness). I couldn't figure out the reason for having stairs on the way to the room when obviously...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
