Excellent Central Location. Access to Metro is great and next to hotel. Clean and tidy rooms with friendly front desk staff. Breakfast was good. Even if it is centrally located, rooms are quiet, which is good.

Would recommend to Prague tourists for the excellent location. It is smack in the middle of Wenceslas square with excellent connectivity and very close to all attractions in the historic centre. No problem with amenities. Quiet, clean. Good breakfast in the morning.

Great reception and excellent location. They were very friendly and very welcoming. They also allowed us to keep our bags as much as we needed. Loved it and will definitely recommend it to other people.

Friendly and familiar hotel in hearth of Prague. The continental breakfast is good (from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.), the Hotel's staff is kind, they speak foreign languages. The rooms are comfortable, so its recommended if you want a silence room in Prague. TV channels and WiFi connect are available every room (TV) and every floor (WiFi) Recommended hotel.

Lovely art nouveau hotel, if a little faded. Room with balcony overlooking Wenceslas Square was a decent size and quite adequate. Décor is generally tired. Breakfast is good. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Great value for money.

I am completely satisfied with my stay in Hotel Meran because the staff was very polite and helpful, the room was comfortable and well illuminated having all the outfit needed (a fridge, a hair drier, electric heat, sockets easy to reach, fast wi-fi granted for free), the breakfasts were pretty tasty including fragrant coffee, fresh fruit, and sandwiches as much...

What a pleasure to stay in a small hotel, owned by the same family for decades, in the heart of Prague. Located on Wenceslas Square, the hotel is steps from the metro and a streetcar, and a 10 minute walk from the Old Town. Our room was spacious and comfortable; the breakfast offered a wide choice. The reception staff were...

I deliberated over how to write this review for a long time. On one hand, this hotel is in a great central location and we were probably given one of the best rooms with a balcony view over Wenceslas Square. BUT..on the other hand, the rooms are tired, old and in desperate need of renovation. I didn't find anything to...

Rooms are old, small and depressing, shower is not comfortable. Old furniture, no working tv (there was one old small tube tv). The only good points are its location (very central) and free wifi. Breakfast was included in my rate; nothing fancy but ok, better than nothing.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
