This small hotel is well situated to get around the city, most attractions are within a reasonable walking distance, which we did, and the tram stops at the front door, which we didn't use. Our room was basic and very dark, even in daytime, stuck in a corner with little natural daylight. The room was functional for a few nights...

What a fantastic hotel. So reasonably priced and includes breakfast too - hot breakfast available. Not only that but free tea/coffee and cake in the afternoon and 10% discount on eating in the restaurant (which I would highly advise). Although this wasn't smack bang in the centre it was only a 15 minute walk over the bridge away. The staff...

It is really great to place to stay in Prague. First of all, all other tourists were envy about the localization, it is not exact crowded centrum, but you have just short around 20- half an hour walk to everywhere (to the castle, to the Karlov bridge, to old town). The tram stop just around the corner, you have few...

We arrived early and the very helpful receptionist allowed us to check in early. The hotel is going though a refurbishment which is only intrusive during the day. Our room was well equiped and comfortable although a little tired. The breakfast was excellent with three cooked options as well as an extensive continental buffet. Staff were really pleasant and the...

En route through Prague stayed 2 nights over the weekend and found this a very practical base for travel and sightseeing. Rooms are basic but very quiet \& functional - bed comfortable and wifi effective, We needed advice on dinner and jazz vening and were well-advised by staff who spoke good english, Beakfast was a good selection with some hot...

The hotel is in a great location, in the lesser town, walking distance of Charles bridge and the castle. Opposite is the venicular railway. We were not told when booking that the hotel bar and restaurant were closed due to refurbishment. This was disappointing. Our room was split level, children had 2 twin beds, my bed was a bed settee,...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for a long weekend. The location is perfect for exploring the city as you can easily reach all major tourist sights by foot. Outside the hotel is a tram stop with the no. 22 going up to Prague castle and the cable car to Petrin hill, if you don't fancy walking. We...

This is nice location restaurant/hotel with helpful staff. The meal we had there was really nice, try some Czech cousine or goulash and you will not be disappointed in fact I would rate this restaurant on the top of the list of restaurants in Prague, which I visited for last year. The son of the owner was very knowledgeable about...

This hotel is a clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. It is in a central location so that you can walk to Prague Castle in around 15-20 mins and Wenceslas Square in about 20 minutes. It is in the less busy area of Prague and is right opposite the large park. Breakfast included was tasty. Overall very good value for...

We spend three nights in this hotel. The relation price-quality was nice: good location (city center), breakfast included, free city map, clean rooms, luggage store, for example. I would recommend it!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
