My wife and I were in Europe for three weeks and spent four nights at the hotel while in Prague. We stayed in other hotels on the trip including the Prinsenhof (Groningen) and the Hotel Eplanade (Zagreb) both which are wonderful hotels but the Hotel U Krale Karla was by far our favourite. The history, character, ambiance and staff were...

Beautiful clean rooms but soundproofing is rather bad so we heard anyone who talked to each other beside us. Bed is very comfortable but narrow. WiFi is faster than in many hotels there are kinda 4 or 5 power sockets it was enough for us but it can be not enough for people who want to use many gadgets. There...

Good concept, but everything already very old. Bad breakfast. In the room vas cold and climate-control didn't work. Bad was broken. But workers are very helpful and friendly. This hotel needs to be repeated.

The hotel is very well located in a hill near the castle. A n incredible walk to the center passing the Charles bridge and beautiful churches. Returning you can take the tram number 22 that leaves you near and you dont have toclimb the hill. The service very good so was the breakfast. The room was not completely dark so...

We stayed here for 1 night because of a fault at our original hotel. The room (101) was fantastic! We felt like royalty. Then I realised I'd picked up the wrong bag at the airport! The staff were great in phoning the airport, arranging us a cab and sitting us down with a free welcome drink. This hotel was much...

This hotel is small with special decorations such as glass windows, cast iron railings, fresco painting on the breakfast room walls and ceiling. Our room had a modern bath with a nice shower, and the ceiling was wooden beams painted with wines. Spacious.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
