Read all the reviews before we booked this hotel and we weren't disappointed. I can recommend this hotel 100%. The location was fantastic in the heart of the Old Town Square,a few mins walk from Astronomical Clock,St.Nicholas church. The Jewish Quarter and Charles bridge was only 10 minutes away. The walk to Prague castle and Petrin Hill was within easy...

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Cerna Liska in July 2010. We chose it based on reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. This is the hotel to stay at in Prague! The hotel is right on the Municipal Square and offers views of the Tyn Church and Hus monument. You couldn't be better located! Everything is...

We absolutely loved the location and you could not find a better location in which to stay in Prague It is situated directly on the Old Town Square and the view out of our window looked directly out on the Tyn Cathedral. We had heard that this could be a noisy location, but we found it to be not noisy...

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The location is fantastic. We had room 103 which is a corner room with windows overlooking both the square and the cathedral. Despite temperatures of up to 30 degrees the air conditioning kept it nice and cool, and even though they were showing the World cup in the square and large groups of...

The Cerna Liska is a very old style European hotel - single person elevator, lots of nooks and crannies. Rooms are well appointed and very clean. Washroom has shower only but is well kept. The location is what you stay here for! You face directly on Stare Maestro (Old Town Square). You are a minute's walk from the Astrological Clock...

We loved the central location and the price, breakfast etc. We asked the hotel to call us a taxi to take us to the central train station. I realize the hotel cannot control everything once we leave their premises- however they can select reputable companies to work with. This was a similar scam to things I have seen in Thailand....

The location was perfect on the old town square. Staff was great, free internet, couldn't ask for more. Love the free breakfast, would definitely go back.

Easily the best thing about the Hotel Cerna Liska is the location – it’s right on the Old Town Square, yet set slightly back so that you’re not bothered by noise. Our room (102) was on the first floor so we didn’t need the lift although there is one). Room 102 was actually three rooms – a reasonably sized entrance...

This hotel is everything you could need for a stay in Prague. We stayed in room 103 which is a great room with views of St Nicholas Church and The Old Town Square large and airy (even the bathroom looks out on the old town square) The beds are two singles pushed together but very comfortable. The rooms have tea...

This hotel is in the perfect spot and within walking distance of all the main sights, The room was big and comfortable. The service was great and staff very friendly. The breakfast is very basic and I would recommend this as a great base hotel.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
