We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location in a quiet cul de sac just yards from the western side of the Charles Bridge. Great for castle / cathedral / mala strana area and only 15 mins all the way into the old town square. Staff were brilliant and so friendly and helpful. My partner...

we stayed 4 nights at Bishop's House, our experience was very memorable, we loved it!! rooms were very clean, and nicely decorated, the beds were comfy and the staff Jirka and Marek were so nice and very helpful with ideas for restaurants and things to do while in Prague. We had a nice view from our balcony. Just can't say...

This hotel is carved into some old buildings, including what looks like a medieval tower. I was assigned room T1 in the old tower, with its window in a noisy and dark courtyard. The noise was from a restaurant kitchen, which shares the hotel's tiny courtyard. Clattering dishes and talking went on all day and evening until about 10:30 pm....

We stayed here for six days recently and loved every minute of it. The staff are first class; Jirka helped us out on our first day to make sure that everything was perfect with our room. The buffet breakfast in the morning is one of the best I have encountered during my travels. Onika and Inna were wonderful in making...

The location is perfect, in a little square, too close to Charles bridge. The interior of the hotel is modern designed but compatible to building's history. My room was fully equiped, with large and confortable bed and very clean (great advantage for my microfobia!). I didn't had the opportunity to stay in a front sight room, which I beleive would...

Man oh man, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bishop's House! First off, location was perfect. Right at the base of the Charles Bridge, but yet around the corner on a dead end kept it nice and quiet. Secondly, the staff was so wonderful and ready to offer suggestions and anything at all that we needed during our stay....

The hotel is beautifully decorated, very bright, sparkling clean. Breakfast is very rich and tasty, with a big variety of food. Stuff is very friendly and helpful- always welcoming you with a smile and willing to solve any problem. Special thanks to Jirka and Marek!! I chose this hotel primarily because of the great Trip Advisor write ups and I wasn't disappointed! The hotel is located on the West Bank of the Vltava River just off the end of the Karluv most bridge and so the old town is within easy walking distance back along the bridge. From the outside, the hotel looks "disappointing" and...

This hotel is a gem. Marek had organised a taxi airport pick up for us; all very straightforward. The location is perfect, in a small dead end cobblestoned street, surrounded by restaurants, shops, & right next to the Charles Bridge. Marek greeted us with a big smile & was super helpful with information on things to do & where to...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
